Socially Correct 2022 Competiton

DISABILITY INCLUSION IN THE WORKPLACE: A CHOICE, NOT AN OBLIGATION

The Association collaborated with the Minister for Disabilities for the 14th edition of the Socially Correct competition, to create a campaign to encourage the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace. Today, despite the obligations imposed by law, people with disabilities have great difficulty in finding an adequate placement in the workplace, capable of restoring their dignity, self-consideration and building social relationships.

The objective of the campaign is to break down the discriminatory and cultural attitudes that generate prejudice and scepticism, raising awareness amongst owners of small and medium-sized enterprises, young people, as well as public opinion in general, on the worth of people with disabilities and stimulate their employment. Furthermore, it should convince employers that hiring people with disabilities can confer added value to the business, to corporate image and above all to the working atmosphere and more. If the recruitment of people with disabilities is perceived as an opportunity and not an obligation, their presence will be evaluated positively, as an enrichment for the organization and make the World a better place.

The winning campaign entitled “Discover their worth” was created by Martina Cavinato – Art Director and Claudia Chiapparino – Copywriter, students of the Master in the creation and production of audiovisuals for cinema and digital media, coordinated by Professor Linda Ovena of ALMED – Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milano.

Their campaign, based on the creative idea “Give scope to their abilities”, “Discover their worth”, was developed under the guidance of their tutor Professor Silvia Trovato.
